Spinneys is a famous retail and it has good market share in dubai retail. Spinneys has hired you as a consultant to expand its customer outreach in Dubai. Having discussed the case of “Same Day Delivery” model like Amazon, e-bay and Walmart in Mode course, you are now in-charge of providing same day delivery for Spinneys in Dubai. How ever this delivery is NOT typical on-line delivery where customer place an order using a web site. Spinneys wishes to explore new methode of capturing the customer orders. Here are some direction given to you by Spinneys: a) They wish to utilize the waiting time of people in metro stations and bus stops so that they can use this time to order products from the store. Alternatively, they need to capture other possible medium/places where customers can give their order. b) They wish to use utilize the code of QR codes for this initiative. The information encoded by a QR code may be made of four standardized type (modes) of data (numeric, byte / binary, Kanji) or, through supported extensions, virtually any type of data – Wikipedia}] C) They do not want to invest on their own data centers for any computing that might be required in this initiative. With the use of latest trends in IS, they wish to reduce the cost the computing infrastructure.
