Dan Ariely talks about 4 factors involving cheating that contributed to the Enron scandal:

1. Many people cheat in small amounts,
2. We see a reduction in cheating when reminded of morality
3. We see an increase in cheating when a larger distance is placed from money
4. We see an increase in cheating when it is taking place around us by those involved in the same groups (co workers, classmates)

Can you apply these four factors to any other historical cases of fraud, cheating, scandals, etc?
