Discussion on Women, Men and Work for gender and Humanities class

Please go to your Feminist Frontiers text Reading #22 for the Boxed Insert, “Median Annual Earnings of Full-Time, Year Round Workers by Education, Race, and Hispanic Origin, 2006.”

Use the above-mentioned chart for your work. Your assignment is to do some investigative scholarship. Choose 5 women and 5 men [of course they have to be willing to talk to you]. Tell them up front that you’re doing an academic assignment. Keep their names private. Using the categories from the chart, what can you find out about women’s and men’s salaries in your cultural space. Please don’t use yourself and try to go outside your family.

You should generate a similar chart as the one in the book. Please explain what you did and summarize your findings. 100-200 words beyond the chart should suffice.
