Assignment 1: Compare and Contrast Essay Part 1: Outline Due Week 2 and worth 30 points

In this assignment, you will create an outline to help you organize your ideas for your Compare and Contrast Essay. Creating an outline with a strong thesis statement is the first step in creating your Compare and Contrast Essay. Please review the “Sample Student Outline for the Compare and Contrast Essay” in the Student Center of the online course shell.
Note: Use the template titled “Sample Student Outline for the Compare and Contrast Essay” located in the course shell to create a topic outline.
Write a one to two (1-2) page Outline for the Compare and Contrast Essay in which you:
Compose a one (1) to two (2) sentence thesis statement with a main topic and three (3) controlling ideas. Identify at least three (3) main points (for your three  body paragraphs). Identify at least two (2) supporting points for each main point. Include an essay title that foretells the content of the essay.
Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:
Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions. Include an APA-formatted cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
