In your discussion, examine the links between policy and/or programme content and the underlying assumptions about the nature and cause/s of rural poverty made by the selected policy and/or programme (or organisation). Your essay should cite relevant literature and examples, wherever appropriate and may be based either on a single country or programme/organisational case study, or multiple countries/case studies, or a combination of both. It should be based on a review of both the theoretical arguments and the available empirical evidence.
