Why are you seeking a position working with people living with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI)?

Linda,

I received your resume and/or response to my current opening for a Full Time Housing Access Coordinator. Because you look like a possible candidate, I wonder if you could take time to answer the questions included in this email? Upon receiving your response I will be scheduling top candidates for interviews.

About the position: In this position you will work with clients living with a disability and assist them in finding and securing housing. You will identify the client’s barriers to housing, assist them in overcoming their barriers, and negotiate with landlords to secure housing that meets their needs.

We provide all the training for the position and should take about 80 hours. You would be required to attend our next New Employee Training on April 5,6,7,12,13,14.

QUESTIONS:

1. What are the values that guide both your personal and professional life?

2. Why are you seeking a position working with people living with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI)?

3. What skills do you possess that would make you a good candidate for this position?

4. We are conducting interviews Friday March 4th & Monday March 7th, can you indicate a few different times you would be available for a one hour interview?

Thank you for expressing interest in this position and taking the time to respond to my email.
