What s the difference between these two men, Raskolnikov and Martin Luther (aside from the fact the Raskolnikov committed murder)? Even if Raskolnikov had not committed murder, he still believed he had the authority to do so based on his theories and conscience, just as Luther did, right? Is there a difference between the two when it comes to individual morality, or no?
