This is an assignment for my history class. To complete it you need be knowledgeable of the American history. The assignment consists of giving your personal opinion in 280 words the about the question below:
“If we consider the North American revolutionary movement as encompassing the period 1765 to 1788, on balance were ideals (principles, political theories) or interests (economic, class tensions) more important in driving the process and events that led to the creation of the American nation-state? Please consider the resistance movement, the war itself, and the nation-making of the 1780s, although you may opt to focus more tightly on one of the three “stages.” Try to take into account the experiences and perspectives of different groups of Americans as they were shaped by hierarchies such as status, race, and gender.”
This a reaction paper so no sources need to be cited into the paper. However, you can use them to learn about the events.
I will post a document with some answers suggested by other students to provide you with some guidelines. Keep in mind that the information of the document reflect the personal opinion of other students and that you need to come up with your own answer without copying the others.
