1. Is it possible to accommodate first-, second- and third-generation human rights in an integrated legal or governmental framework, or are there too many contradictions and incompatibilities among them?
2. ‘It is necessary to place limits on democracy in order to promote human rights.’ Discuss.
3. ‘Economic ‘rights’ are not rights but aspirations, because they are not quantifiable or limitable, and because they diminish the individual’s responsibility for his/her own economic circumstances’. Critically evaluate this assertion.
