Essay Quiz

ANSWER ALL 3 QUESTIONS PLEASE . EACH ESSAY SHOULD BE JUST ABOUT 1.5 PAGES LONG.

Here’s the recap on tomorrow’s quiz. It will cover the material between the last quiz and the week of November 3. Chapters 3 and 4 of Bucholz and Key are in play, as are Tudor Rebellions, the readings by Lowe, Haigh and Levin. All lecture and discussion material from that time is fodder also.

There will be one question to which you will devise a response. Remember: it will be important to formulate a clear, identifiable thesis. You will then have to provide concrete supporting evidence for that thesis and an explanation of why your evidence supports your thesis. This is a short exercise! You needn’t — and shouldn’t — attempt to write the history of western civilization in one essay. Be selective! Think and organize before you write! When you begin to write, you should have a plan.
