The difference in centre of pressure characteristics in young and elderly population

The purpose of the study was to investigate whether there are differences in Centre of Pressure (COP) trajectories between young and elderly populations during bare-foot walking.

ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION – talk about…. the impact on gait in the elderly population, consider linking this with falls and the association with mobility, disability, loss of independence and give a sense of economic burden related to falls in the elderly.
What is centre of pressure, how is it calculated? and differences of COP in young and elderly.
incorporate aims and hypothesis in the last few sentences of introduction.
