So I’m writing a paper about Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the topic I chose is a Character Study. We can use any character but I was thinking of using Lysander unless there is a clear better option. If anyone has read it and would like to just post an organized brainstorm to help me clear my thinking process up a little it would be a great help. Shakespeare can cause headaches at times. I’ve read it completely also. My outline is An introductory paragraph first of course and a requirement is to make a clear point or stance and relate clearly to that point throughout and how it reaches others’ lives. Next I describe his role in the overall play. Then, how his role relates to his individual subplot within the story. After that, I pick 2 of his speeches which I’ve pretty much looked at already to be the half-wake half-sleep famous one and his speech to Hermia about the issue with her father which shows his use of words to persuade. Then I pick an actor that would play a good Lysander such as a Chad Michael Murray who has quoted Shakespeare to get with girls in at least one movie.(and it actually worked) haha. Not asking for an essay at all just maybe some good points or topics I should hit or look at in the play that I may have overlooked. Also if maybe a different character may appeal better to a character study and a simple explanation or tutorial as to why. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
