Topic: the relationship between image and text—particularly how they intersect to form meaning—in both media.

Select a work from the list that has appeared as a printed book with illustrations and as a film. Your selection must be approved by your facilitator.

Evaluate the implications in book or film adaptations of representations of diverse cultures, paying attention to any implied stereotypes for a pluralistic society.

Create an 8- to 12-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation that illustrates the assignment requirements. Include speaker’s notes.

Present your Image and Text in Books and Films presentation.
