What did the researcher(s) study? (i.e., topic, research questions) : What was the main research question or the topic of the study?

Find four peer-reviewed research articles (from academic journals) in preparation for your annotated bibliography. For each of the four or more articles, the five annotation questions are answered clearly, precisely, and concisely in 200 words and all four entries follow the required format for this assignment, including APA style with minor errors.

Topic: In the degree I chose, I will study issues related to the development of individuals, specifically children and families in social and cultural contexts. The classes I will take will be in human development, and personal growth in human relationships, marriage and family relationships and family ethnic and cultural diversity. I chose the degree program in Family and Human Development to gain an understanding of the impact of ethnicity, culture, gender and professional life on individual development and family interaction patterns. I really think about the development of individuals and families as they relate to their diverse social worlds.
In my research project, I will discuss the mechanisms behind social inequality that are heavily impacting persons of color in the United States. I will discuss the effects of status, inequality based on differences in esteem and respect, alongside those based on resources and power. I will discuss how wealth, race, class, conflict and inequality impact families and overall human development. In conclusion, I will summarize how all the above affect life changes and give solutions on how overarching inequality in the United States can be reduced.
General Instructions
Use library databases to find 4 research articles relating to your above topic. Each article must be from a refereed or peer-reviewed source. For each article, give (1) a complete and accurate citation in APA bibliography format (see below), and (2) a one- to two-paragraph summary of about 150-200 words.

A good summary is clear, extremely concise, written in full sentences, written entirely in your own words (do not quote the articles), and answers the following five
Annotation Questions:
1. What did the researcher(s) study? (i.e., topic, research questions) : What was the main research question or the topic of the study?

2. How did they study it? (i.e., research methods, including a general
indication of the sample/setting: children, adults, in the community, a school, etc.)

3. What conclusions did they find? What was the main finding?

4. How does this article apply or relate to your study?: What answers does it possibly offer to your research question? What answers does it not offer to your research question (i.e. what are the article’s weaknesses, in terms of your research question)?

5. Also, include ONE of the following:
a. a brief comparison with the other articles that you located (i.e. is the sample different, the method, etc.)
b. significant policy implications
c. suggestions for future research
Please read the following additional instructions carefully.
• Your articles must be research reports. They present the authors’ research and conclusions in detail. A two-page article cannot be a full research report. Only peer-reviewed journal articles of an original research study count (no book reports or discussions/commentaries on issues or topics).
• Your articles must come from refereed or peer-reviewed journals, meaning that the authors’ peers read and review the articles before the journals agree to print them. Regular magazines and newspapers are not acceptable.
• Your articles need to address your research topic, and research question.
• Your entries should be in alphabetical order by author’s last name.
• The annotated bibliography should have an extra space between one entry and the next.
• **The annotations must be in your own words. Do not copy and paste directly from the articles. If you copy directly from the articles, you will receive a zero on this assignment.**
• These articles can later be added to your final research proposal. But you need 4 annotated entries (200 words each) for this assignment.
