Do you think that growing oil palm trees in plantations to obtain biodiesel fuel to help cut dependence on oil and cut vehicle co2 emissions is important enough to justify burning and clearing some rainforest?

Do you think that growing oil palm trees in plantations to obtain biodiesel fuel to help cut dependence on oil and cut vehicle co2 emissions is important enough to justify burning and clearing some rainforest? why or why not? Can you think of alternatives to cutting trees that would provide biofuels? What are they?
