The perfect paragraph

write the best argumentative paragraph you can, given the tips and tools we have talked about so far.  The assignment will be evaluated for how well it meets the expectations we have discussed, both from a structural and grammatical perspective.

write one paragraph that argues for why the cartoon below might be seen as funny.  That is, even if you did not particularly laugh,argue for how the cartoon could make someone laugh (or at least smile).  Tell me how it works as a comic.  This will be a primer for our later work, where you will be arguing for how poems and fiction operate.  We are now beginning to turn your attention to critical analysis of other people’s work, so show me what you can do.  Here is the comic.  It is from the series Family Circus.
