The effect of Mindfulness-Based Therapy on anxiety and depression.

Write a 5-7 page paper (does not include title, abstract, table of contents and reference pages). This research is based upon spiritual based therapy/ies with research to support their effectiveness.

You should have several references and at least three of these should be primarily from scholarly (academic journals and texts) sources (see more info below). The paper should also describe the therapeutic effects of prayer or mindfulness and meditation on mental health and illness. The paper should note the research and impact of the therapy/ies and provide a solid argument for its relevance.
The paper should include:
Title Page
Abstract
Table of Contents
Introduction to your thesis
Research findings with subtitles to organize your info.
Conclusions
Reference Page
Note: You should have no less than three scholarly references in this paper, each following APA rules. Websites can be secondary sources of research after the three (or more) scholarly ones. A good paper would have 5 to 8 references. If you need help finding scholarly sources, consult with the librarian. References show that you have researched your topic well. Including a combination from various sources shows you have surveyed knowledge in both academic and practical domains. Your research should primarily focus on scholarly sources, but you can also make use of the text, the Lecture Notes, and other research. Please follow APA guideline, check grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and organization/flow of topic. There are 80 available points for this assignment.

My Paper Topic and thesis statement:

The research in this paper will discuss the effect of Mindfulness-Based Therapy on anxiety and depression. The term mindfulness in this case refers to a series of actions or steps that leads to a mental state portrayed by non-judgemental awareness of a persons current struggle (stress or anxiety). This includes a person’s sensations, thoughts, bodily states, consciousness, and the environment around them, while encouraging openness curiosity and acceptance. (Hoffman 2010) There are three components to this type of therapy that will be researched and addressed, sitting meditation, Hatha Yoga, and body scan: a sustained mindfulness practice.

Thesis Statement:
An analysis of Mindfulness-Based Therapy will reveal that the process of spiritual based therapy can be as effective in some cases, as psychotherapy methods to treat anxiety, stress and depression.
