Question: Critically evaluate a corporation of your choosing from the perspective(s) of Carroll’s 4 model pyramid corporate social responsibility using only any two contrasting or complementing perspectives from Carroll’s 4 model pyramid CSR. Write a 3,000-word report on your evaluation.

Introduction – 600 words (10%)
–    The aims or purpose of your report
–    An overview of your chosen corporation or organisation – depending on which perspectives you intend to use, it could be useful to identify key individuals and groups (stakeholders) involved in the case.
–    A paragraph to outline what is to follow in your assignment.

Theoretical perspectives and Analysis– 1800 words (60%)
What is important here is that you give equal attention to both of the perspectives that you use. One way of doing this is to ensure that you give each analysis the same amount of words.

You could organise your analyses into two sub-sections with headings, one for each analysis. Each sub-section may include further sub-sections.

For each analysis:
–    Clearly explain the two theoretical perspectives that you intend to apply, why it is relevant for your aim/purpose, and any weaknesses.
–    Explain the issue(s) you are going to address and identify the material you are going to analyse (STATE THE KINDS OF  INFORMATION YOU ARE GOING TO ANALYSE – IS IT THE COMPANY REPORT? OR MEDIA COVERAGE? OR COMPANY WEBSITE? OR COMBINED).
–    Systematically apply the approach and explain / display your findings (APPLY CARROLL’S ANY TWO CONCEPT TO THE COMPANY MATERIAL YOU DECIDED TO USE AND EVALUATE).

Discussion and Conclusions – 600 words (20%)

–    How the findings from your two approaches / perspectives either contradict and/or complement each other (COMPARE AND/OR CONTRAST THE FINDINGS FROM YOUR ANALYSIS OF THE CORPORATION’S LEGAL AND ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITIES OR ECONOMICAL AND PHILANTROPIC RESPONSIBILITIES OR VICE VERSA).
–    How your two analyses relate to the aims and purpose of your report i.e. to what extent have you addressed these?
–    What conclusions or recommendations have you reached?
