. Even though there is great diversity in the Seattle food system, there are also great variations in diet quality across neighborhoods. There are also major differences across neighborhoods in the prevalence of obesity, diabetes and the metabolic syndrome. Those are all diet-related diseases.
Educational interventions help to improve population diets and health. But here we want to ask specific questions about the role of the food system.
