Essays must be fully referenced. Wherever ideas, words, or tables are taken from another source, a reference must be provided. The bibliography does not count towards the word limit. • Essays must be typed and double spaced with generous margins. If a computer or typewriter is not available, the essay must be neatly printed. Unreadable essays will not be given a pass. • Essays must conform to the Harvard referencing system (no footnotes!), and students must not reference lecture notes (find the idea in the library). You can find more information about the referencing of assignments under the heading ‘Referencing’ in this guide. • Points will be deducted for late essays, missing references and citations. Plagiarism will be treated extremely seriously. • Students must NOT COPY FROM THE INTERNET. The internet may be used, but these texts must be referenced appropriately.
