All required research sources used??

Is paper written with clarity, specificity, and correct grammar and mechanics? *Note: If a paper’s language is not considered legible due to a high frequency of language level errors that impede understanding and/or other foundational issues with basic English composition, such a paper may not pass, despite addressing other aspects of the assignment.

Structure / General Requirements (15)

Is the research question given clearly in the introduction? Â Â This should be at the end of the introduction.

Do unified paragraphs, with one topic each, all address this question?

Does paper have sufficient background info to understand the research question and answers? (No more than 40% of total paper).

Is paper at least 1750-2000 words, excluding title page, Abstract, and References?

Are there at least two substantive visual elements in the paper? Are they discussed meaningfully in the text of the paper? PLEASE PLACE THESE AT THE END OF THE PAPER. THANKS!Â

Use of Secondary Sources (5)

All required research sources used? At least 6 sources, 3 of which much be peer-reviewed, scholarly journal articles. *Note that if at this stage of the paper, scholarly source requirements are still unmet, this is grounds for a D-range paper. Â Is there an interdisciplinary aspect to the paper?

Are secondary sources integrated using the 3-step method: (1. Introduce your sourceÂ’s relevant credentials, 2. Give quote or paraphrase, 3. Explain its significance to your point).

Does the student appropriately paraphrase facts and figures? Are there any unnecessary block quotes?

Are secondary sources used accurately and logically? (Quotes / paraphrases are not misrepresented and logically support assertions.)

Is APA Format credibly attempted for formatting, in-text citation, and for References? Is paper double-spaced, using font 12 Times New Roman?
