You are required to find an academic journal article directly related to Intelligence, which has not been assigned as a reading for PICT813. It needs to have been published in the last five years (2010 onwards).
The journal article critique needs to incorporate a number of things, but the most important is an actual “critique” of the article, as opposed to a summary of its contents. The requirement is to provide balanced, critical analysis, considering alternative perspectives — not by presenting one-sided opinion-based arguments.
It should include:
• An introduction to the text and author under analysis;
• A brief summary of the author’s main points;
• A critical analysis of the text with respect to the validity of the author’s presentation and if it is successful at achieving its purpose (and why);
• Your response to the text with regard to whether you agree or disagree with the point of view taken and why; substantiated by 3-5 other academic resources in either Havard Referencing style or Oxford Referencing Style.
• A conclusion in relation to the overall validity of the text.
