Order Description

Below is my topic selection and the professor’s feedback, please feel free to approach it in whatever way works best. I will attach further important information! It’s a 10 page research paper(not including cover and citation) but prior to that a 2 page outline is due in one week (Tuesday the 7th) which does not have to be exactly right but I will need it by then. Topic chosen: Land Use Law

Student approach: This paper will examine the origin and progression of land use law and its application, including the law of nuisance and eventually zoning.

Instructor feedback:
How far back do you intend to go on this? Although zoning ordinances are of relatively modern origin in the US, they trace back to the Code of Roman Law. In 450 BC, The Twelve Tables articulated the first recorded property set-back lines. By the second century B.C, Roman fire prevention codes also set maximum heights for buildings and minimum distances between them. If you like history, this could be quite interesting.
