MIDTERM PART II

SITUATION

I am the owner of a business, XYZ. This business can be any sort of your choosing (e.g. Financial Services, Manufacturing, Restaurant Business, Technology, etc).

You work for Sales Company, ABC. You have an idea that you would like me to consider for my business. The specifics are up to you. Maybe it’s great new series of dishes for my restaurant. Maybe it’s a new HRIS system for my financial services firm. Maybe it’s a new type of shoe for my shoe store.

Finally, write me a persuasive letter using AIDA (introduced on page 233 of the textbook). The content can be anything you choose, but follow the rules in the textbook to write a good persuasive message. Idea:

THOUGHTS ON THE ASSIGNMENT

I have deliberately left the parameters of the situation vague. Come up with any business you choose for me. Come up with any sales idea you choose for yourself. Write the documents with any content you wish, using any ideas you wish. I am looking only for your competence in understanding the way to write the sort of documents that have been covered in the first half of this term. How you structure the content is up to you. Have fun with it! Don’t be afraid to create a zany business for me or a crazy sales idea for yourself. Just write the documents properly according to the lessons you have learned.

There are no strict length requirements here, but don’t get carried away. These are business documents, so they should be written with brevity and candor. Just do your best and write until you think you have thoroughly completed the assignment to the best of your ability. Remember that I am looking for quality, not quantity.
