This task requires you to write a 500 word critical reflection on three (3) separate topics covered in the unit.
You must choose three (3) topics from the list below:

3 Release and reintegration
**NOTE:
• You may not choose the week on Aims of the criminal justice system or Courts in the criminal justice system as you covered these in Assessment 1.
• You may not chose Therapeutic Jurisprudence if you chose to cover TJ in Assessment 1.
• You may not chose Restorative Justice if you chose to cover RJ in Assessment 1.
You ARE REQUIRED to write 500 words on EACH of the three (3) topics you have chosen, resulting in 1500 words in total. You should write in the first person. For example: “I discovered that…..”.

Your reflection should demonstrate your understanding of and engagement with the unit materials (i.e. lectures, textbook, additional readings, tutorial discussions) and other relevant material such as media sources. For further assistance, read through the Assessment Task Sheet and take note of the Marking Criteria sheet. These two documents will help you with what needs to be included.

Reflecting on the material:
• – What are the key issues that were raised on this topic? Are there opposing arguments on this?
• – How do these issues related to a key theme in the Unit? Locating your voice amongst these discussions:
• – Did any of the material challenge your beliefs/notions about the CJS?

• – What aspects of the material did you agree with, or disagree with, and why?
