Provide a short summary of the two readings (William Stanley Jevons, Money and the Mechanism of Exchange (1875), chapter one[Barter”).
Paul Bohannan, “The Impact of Money on an African Subsistence Economy,” Journal of Economic History 19 (1959), 491-503. ] , and give your interpretation of the topic covered. Use quotes or paraphrase from the two readings. Only reference these two readings in the essay without using any additional sources. The essay is open-ended and doesn’t have to be in the order of summary and then an interpretation. It has to have a strong structure incorporating your interpretations with the summary. Interpretations must be strong claims with elaborate explanation and evidence. I have uploaded a PowerPoint which was a lecture about these two readings, just for background information. 4 page paper (double spaced, 12 point font, 1 inch margins) based on the two readings only.
