Lanthanides and actinides

he topic for the report will be: applications of rare earths by solvent extraction. The student has to write a report with a maximum size of 25 pages (minimum font size 10) about the industrial applications of one selected rare-earth element. Depending on the interest of the student, one industrial application can be discussed in detail or an overview of the different applications can be given.
Each student will get a different element as assignment.
Evaluation criteria are:
– Scientific quality
– Information content
– Originality
– Quality of literature references
– Layout and language
