Interpersonal Communication

In this discussion you are asked to consider the things you learned about the importance of understanding the concept of Self, and its implications on your communication in interpersonal relationships. How well do you know yourself? How well do others know you? Here’s something you can try:

Go through your music library and find the song that best symbolizes who you are. Next, ask a close friend to select a song that best symbolizes who you are. Are these the same songs or at least have similar messages?
What did you learn? Do others see you the way you see yourself? What connections can you make to the concepts we have been studying thus far?

Remember to organize your reflection with the following outline in mind:

Begin with a general reflection on readings for the week. What have you learned that can set the stage for your discussion answer? Be sure to integrate readings. Properly formatted APA citations and references are expected.
Answer each part of the question posed. To do so, you may want to break it down into smaller sections when composing a reply.
End your reflection with a statement that connects your example to the lesson for the week. Consider the following questions:
What have you learned?
How can you apply it to the future?
What would you do differently?
What surprised you or interested you about this week’s lesson?
Be sure to check back and respond to my questions if you see them
