Intellectual Property Rights protection systems: Worldwide and in the EU : What is IPR, how it could be protected, history, evolution, concerns, problematic

Papers should be no more than 10 pages and no less than 5 pages.

– You should list at the end -an extra page, out of the 10 pages- your sources and bibliography used to prepare the research

– Each paper should also be accompanied by a one page Executive Summary (summarising the main outcome of your paper and how you worked) which will serve as a basis for the oral presentations

– Papers should be very well presented (of course typed) in substance and in form : remember Oscar Wilde’s 1891’s “the truth is a entirely and absolutely a matter of style”. While reading you I need to see your own style then and not wikipedia or whatever other source !

– Papers should be very well structured (i.e. a logical plan with an intelligent breakdown in sections – it could be “past, present future”, “retrospective, current, prospective”, “who, when, what and how” or whatever you think intelligent to build up your paper as if it was a “pleading” through which you have to convince and inform unknowledgeable people who are going to listen to you … Remember that this will serve as a basis for the short pitch that will be delivered in class by each team)

– Papers should be prepared with a “business intelligence” mind and approach, i.e. by reaserching the matter not only from the legal and regulatory point of view only but also globally with business intelligence i.e by contextualizing the subject in a larger spectrum, highlighting the basics of the matter, the history of the matter discussed, researching its evolution and how evolution was undertaken, highlighting its major current trends etc. bringing your own assessment also as the case may be through a SWOT analysis and a prospective thinking.
