Importance of creativity in management

Discuss how traditional approaches to management have to change in order to cultivate and foster creativity and innovation in workforce. Use examples to illustrate your discussion.

· Explore the changes and the shifts in the global economy.

· Explain the different factors that need to be managed in order to enhance the generation of new ideas, products, services, processes, etc. in the working environment.

· Understand and explain the change management process and recognize its impact on the success or failure of organizations.

Your assignment should not be more than 2500 words and not less than 2000 words. You should be able to display your understanding of appropriate models and theories on creativity, innovation and change. Your essay should draw upon a wide range of sources from textbooks (in addition to those in the recommended reading list), companies’ websites and other relevant websites, to academic journal articles and business magazines (such as Business Week, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Management Today).
