Instructors will assign topics to groups. Once groups have their assigned topics they can use the following website to begin their research: http://healthit.hhs.gov/portal/server.pt/community/healthit_hhs_gov__home/1204

Research, discuss and explain the assigned governmental topic area to others in a way that is simple to understand and informative. Be sure to relate its importance to Healthcare delivery and Electronic Health Record systems. Groups may do their research together in-class but all members should be taking notes as each student is required to submit a 1 page summary on the research that their group conducted on their assigned topic touching on the following questions:
•What is EHR?
•What is the government role in EHR?
•Identify the government standards and /or regulations related to topic area and their purposes.
•Identify the roles and responsibilities of EHR in meeting government standards based on your topic.
Please submit your paper typed in Times New Roman, 12 font, double spaced. Include your name on the top of the paper
