1.   After completing the readings and examining the websites provided in the Module Overview page, comprehensively discuss the main organization responsible for monitoring and facilitating responses to global pandemics. Describe interesting facts and information. In addition, identify and discuss one non-governmental organization and one governmental authority by explaining the importance of each and the services provided for population health.    the readings are Healthcare and Delivery in the United States 10th edition by Jonas and  Kovners
Read Chapter 1 (pp. 3-14) & Chapter 6 (pp. 103-121) In Kovner, A., Knickman, J. (2011). Jonas & Kovner’s health care delivery in the United States. (10th ed.).  New York, NY: Springer Publishing.
Access the World Health Organization web site andlocate and read about the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) under the “Programmes” tab. After choosing two countries, access the WHO website and choose the “countries” tab.  Access your specific country to examine.  Choose the “country profile” tab and “news and features” tab to explore.  You can also use the search area.

For the following discussion, you must not use tables to present your findings.  You will need to write your responses and provide discussion about the data you discover/locate.

Maternal mortality rate
Morbidity—diseases with greatest prevalence
