Eric is a 20-year-old student who enjoys college life and is conscientious about his studies. Eric tries to maintain a healthy lifestyle but sometimes he finds it difficult in certain situations. Because of his class schedule, each week he eats several evening meals at a fast-food restaurant. Eric usually orders the double burger with a large order of fries and a large soft drink. At least Eric doesn’t smoke anymore. Well, sometimes on weekends, after several drinks at one of the local bars, Eric will smoke several cigarettes. He usually can then continue his smoke-free days until his next bar episode, although the last few weeks it has been harder to stay tobacco-free during the week. Eric has also noticed that he has been gaining weight lately even though he has not changed his exercise regime of golf during the warm weather and twice weekly pick-up basketball during the winter. Eric thinks he usually shops wisely for groceries, although he still does not know how to read food labels. One regular item on his grocery list is his evening snack of chocolate ice cream.
