Evaluating Websites.

conduct an in-depth evaluation of one WebQuest located in the matrix of examples on the WebQuest . Please, follow the directions below:

1. For background knowledge, you should first work through the “A Webquest About WebQuests” at https://www.internet4classrooms.com/wq_wq.htm(scroll down the page) to gain an understanding of the different areas to consider when developing a WebQuest.

2. Next, browse the Quest Garden Search Page . Select “Curriculum X Grade Level Matrix” . Select a subject area and “adult” for the grade level . Think about what you think makes for a good, engaging WebQuest. When you’ve found one that you think is really a good and fit with your teaching/learning interests, proceed with the evaluation described below. Your paper should include the following:
• Description:
• List the title of the WebQuests, the URLs, and the subject(s) area.
• Then give an overview of the WebQuest including the type of tasks that students perform as described in A Taskonomy of Tasks
• Evaluation Rubric: Use the Rubric for Evaluating Webquests and mark your ratings and support your ratings with your rationale for the Webquest you have selected to evaluate.
• Recommendation: Is the webquest a good example of “active and engaged learning” ? Would you use this webquest? Who might use it? How could the WebQuest be improved?
• Assessment of the Rubric: Assess the Rubric for Evaluating Webquests . Does it provide a good set of criteria by which to evaluate web-based learning activities? Are there any areas of the rubric that should be added or modified? .
