Differences in the engineering community

There are four main approaches that can be used to help evaluate communities. The one used is called the typological approach. This is especially useful because it will be comparing two different communities to each other, and the typological approach “as the ability to account for change, especially in relation to the individual lifestyle changes that occur” (Lynn 81). PSU and PCC are both educational institutions, but have a few things that make them very different from each other without delving deeper into my specific section of engineering. The type of students that enter engineering programs, or graduate from them, also reflects a lot on the type of students that choose to attend PSU or PCC.
PCC is a community college, and has several campuses in the Portland-metro area. PSU is an urban university in the middle of town.
