Development of a Model of Care

As a masters-prepared nurse leader, you will have the opportunity to impact the healthcare of individuals, groups, and communities in various settings. This assignment provides you with the opportunity to design a healthcare model that benefits both the population and setting you have selected, determine the necessary financing and sustainability. The model of care will need to take into account access and utilization by your selected population and any regulatory or accrediting bodies that might impact the final design of your model of care. Additionally, the impact or use of technology within the model of care is a factor, as well as how will this new model of care impact the role of the masters prepared nurse.

This assignment is limited to 11-15 pages, (excluding title page, abstract, reference list and appendix). Throughout the paper, provide supporting evidence from at least ten (10) Scholarly works*, including at least three (3) non-nursing resources (graded in Integration of Evidence and Theory section of rubric).

Note: *Scholarly works (including scholarly articles, white papers, and scholarly websites) integrated within the Masters Competencies paper should come from the most current nursing or related literature (published no more than 5 years ago); however, older works may be included if it is a seminal source or where there is a gap in the literature. Be sure to include a minimum of ten (10) scholarly works in your paper. At least three (3) references should come from a discipline outside nursing.
