1. Cultural Anthropology has always struggled with its relationship to the natural sciences. Some anthropological thinkers have used scientific analogies to demonstrate that the study of culture is a science. Others have argued the opposite that cultural anthropology is rightly part of the humanities. Using two examples on each side of this argument, describe the discipline’s entanglement with the natural sciences over the course of the disciplinary histories we have studied to date.
