Comparison and Contrast of the Protagonists in 3 different stories
Readings are:
1. The Ambitious Guest
2. Young Goodman Brown
3. The Ministers Black Veil
All by Nathaniel Hawthorn
Topic:
Only compare the male protagonist of each story. And the story it has to be in order. Mentioning how the Irony, Naive, and Delusional that the characters in the stories have. In the 2nd paragraph to the 4th paragraph(three body paragraphs), Need to have quotations to support each of the points. Try to paraphrase long quotations, in other words, make it short.
Outline:
First paragraph:
-Strong introduction followed by a thesis. The first sentence for the thesis is a clear statement of the writers attitude or opinion regarding the topic being written about. It has to be broad and never factual. It is always attitudinal. That sentence is followed by three statements of support for the first sentence. These four sentences are followed by a fifth sentence, which repeats the idea of the first statement, but uses different language to make the point.
Second:
-open with a topic sentence that relates directly to one of the three supporting statments in the thesis paragraph.
-talk about The ambitious Guest.
-who’s the protagonist and what points that relates to the other 2 story.
-give an example
Third:
-open with a topic sentence that relates directly to one of the three supporting statments in the thesis paragraph.
-Young Goodman brown
-The protagonist in the story, whats naive or irony about that character
Fourth:
-open with a topic sentence that relates directly to one of the three supporting statments in the thesis paragraph.
-The Ministers Black Veil
-The protagonist in the story, whats naive or irony about that character
