Reflection Paper #2
Students will be required to complete two written assignment during the 8 week module. Your first paper is due at the end of Unit 4 and the second paper is due at the end of Unit 7. Rubrics will be used to grade your work. Assignments should be written in the format of the most current edition of the APA manual. Each paper must be submitted via Blackboard and emailed copies will not be accepted. Policies in regard to turning work in late also apply to these assignments. Each written assignment is worth 100 points (combined points total is worth 30% of your final grade).
Paper Structure: Your papers must be, at least, three full pages, following APA format, without counting the title page and reference section. Each page must be double spaced with size 12 Times New Roman font and 1-inch margins on all sides. There must be a title page, body of text (at least three full pages), and a reference section. Be sure to use complete sentences, as well as appropriate grammar and spelling. When you find quotes that support your thought, paraphrase instead. If you need assistance with this, be sure to consult with your professor and/or the Writing Center.
Sources: For the paper, you are required to provide a minimum of 4 different scholarly sources, such as journal articles, books, or other reliable sources to support your claims. Avoid using internet sources, such as Wikipedia or other web-based resources, which lack strong academic backing. If you decide to use internet sources, such as those ending in -.edu, -.gov, -.org, or other similar sites, those sources should not serve as your primary source for your paper.
Refer to the writing rubric for a guideline of your paper’s grading.
Instructions: Choose a psychological disorder. Choose three theoretical perspectives (e.g., biological, psychoanalytic, AND learning) to explain what might cause the development of this disorder. Use primary research findings to support your explanation of causal factors. Incorporating these three theories and related research, how would you design a treatment plan for a client with this disorder?
Special Note:If you have taken PSY305: Theories of Personality, you may not choose the same disorder you wrote about for the second written assignment in that course.
