Elie Wiesel has been quoted as saying that whoever witnesses an atrocity and does nothing to stop it is just as guilty as the one committing it. What do you think? In a multi-paragraph essay, argue whether you agree or disagree with this statement. When answering this question, please don’t get confused by the meaning of bystander. In this case a bystander is NOT a Jew in a concentration camp. Wiesel is referring to people who knew what was going on (or suspected what was going on) and did nothing to stop the atrocities of the concentration camps. In your response, I want you to refer to the bystander article that you summarized. You can paraphrase from it, quote from it or do both. However, you MUST follow the rules for MLA intext citing and include a Work Cited page (in correct form on a separate piece of paper).
