This week’s poems are organized by themes.
Please choose at least two themes you would like to discuss.
Then, choose two poems from within each theme.
The themes are love and human connection; humans and nature; the cycle of life (i.e., youth, maturity, aging, death); and identity. What Lips My Lips Have Kissed” by Edna St. Vincent(theme love and human connection) Millay Bright Star” by John Keats(theme human and nature).

For each poem you choose, consider the historical period in which it was written, along with the poet’s background (including cultural factors, such as regionalism, ethnicity, family history, and socioeconomic status).
